PROJECT SUMMARY:
Star 8 was approached by Lateral Technology who required solar lighting for the historic Rhyll jetty in Victoria. Parks Victoria had requested solar lighting be installed along the pier. Lateral specialises in solar solutions for marine environments and had been working with the Star 8 team on identifying a suitable solar light for waterways. After months of marine testing Lateral selected the Star 8 Slimline Solar LED Light range.
SOLUTION:
Lateral Technology purchased 20 Slimline Solar LED Lights and attached these to 6 metre polls. The poles were installed 18 meters apart along the pier. Each Slimline solar panel was fitted with a set of polycarbonate bird spikes to deter birds.
RESULT:
The jetty is now excellently lit, allowing people to use it safety at night. The 40 Watt Slimline Solar LED Lights were able to provide a safe, quick and easy to install solution. There are two more stages of the project planned, and we are excited to be working with Lateral on this venture.
